Festival Annual Launched

New project needs your help

A brand new project aiming to celebrate the British live music scene has been launched with the Festival Annual seeking your help.

Sad to say, but the festival season is almost over. August is approaching, and with it the summer rain and the final curtain on some of the most memorable weekends some of us will ever have.

A new project aims to unite festival fans in preserving these memories. Festival annual is a new website that collects your photographs, helping give a true depiction of the glorious anarchy that is a British festival.

The festival annual project has spent the summer gathering pictures at some of Britain’s biggest events. Snap-happy workers trawled around Latitude, Lovebox Weekender and more recording what they came across.

The result is one of the most comprehensive accounts of the British musical summertime ever created. The shots have been uploaded into a new gallery, which includes contributions from some familiar faces.

Jamie Winston and Orbital have been recording their adventures, with Clash scribe Edith Bowman also taking part. Now a young mother, Edith Bowman has had a very different experience than previous years, but has still engaged in an intrepid adventure to soak in as much great music as possible.

The best pictures will be immortalised in a new hardback book, due for release later this year. So get in your photos – the more memorable the better. Who knows – you could end up making contact with the bloke in the nice hat from two tents along who lent you a bottle opener.

Life long friendships have been made of less!

The Festival Annual will be published later this year. For more information please click HERE!
