Documentary: Let Fury Have The Hour

Film premieres this Thursday at Riverside Studios

Chuck D, Wayne Kramer, Tom Morello, Ian MacKaye and Billy Bragg all feature in the new documentary 'Let Fury Have The Hour', which will premiere at London’s Riverside Studios this Thursday 25th October.

Praised as one of the best documentaries at this year’s Tribeca Film Festival, 'Let Fury Have The Hour' chronicles how a generation of artists, thinkers, and activists used their creativity and their creations as a response to the reactionary politics that came to define our culture in the 1980's. It spans three decades of change, from the cynical heyday of Reagan and Thatcher through to today, and brings together over fifty writers, playwrights, painters, poets, skateboarders, dancers, musicians, and rights advocates, all of whom attest to the fact that we can re-imagine the world we live in and take an active role in making that vision a reality.

“The idea of creative response as a movement is a description I first affixed to my own personal experience and direct involvement in specific counterculture movements: punk rock, skateboarding, street art and hip-hop,” says director Antonino D’Ambrosio. “Listening to the music of The Clash, Minor Threat and Public Enemy showed me in both visceral and emotional ways that there was a more genuine, do-it-yourself approach to connect and communicate with the world around me.“
