Agi & Sam AW16: Backstage

Clash goes behind the scenes armed with a Polaroid camera.

Like an excited 17 year old circa 1976 or your best mate receiving their post-Christmas online order from Urban Outfitters, 9am on Saturday morning saw Clash not under the cover of Ikea’s latest duvet design but armed with a Polaroid camera round the back of Victoria House.

Analogue visuals a-go-go – the work of one Impossible Project, so launched in 2008 following the closure of Polaroid’s last standing factory (and perhaps one of the more impractical pieces of machinery for the occasion) – we went backstage to capture the operation behind Agi & Sam’s AW16 show.

Which naturally consisted of hair, make-up and dresser teams making good looking people (the duo’s line up featured several womenswear looks, the first time the label has tapped said market), even better. Plus a confident selection of new season garms boasting XL silhouettes, pocket adorned behinds and some of those on point metal zips with proper 90’s flavour.

“It’s about making your own decisions, living at your own pace, and being happy with the world around you,” Agi Mdumulla and Sam Cotton explained in the accompanying show notes.
