“Well fuck me it’s about time someone took offence at something I said” is the splendid opening line from the appropriately bratty debut EP from this actually married boy-girl duo.
Boomtown Twats is a sneering two minutes blast of brash, spiky electro pop, with Amy bringing a touch of fellow Australians Operator Please to proceedings, while other half Tim recalls the Casio pop of The Research. I Think We Rushed Into This is quite different: a sweet break-up song based around a grasping organ riff, while the EP closes with a new wave take on The One That I Want.
