Donning a steel pot helmet and smearing his face with camouflage paint, Bristol producer Vessel embarks on a daunting, nightmarish voyage into the unknown reminiscent of the hunt for the mad Colonel Kurtz in Apocalypse Now on this second album release, ‘Punish, Honey’.
The follow-up to his brilliant 2012 debut chugs along eerily into the heart of darkness with a menacing tribal pulse, keeping pace with a dense mesh of strangely mechanical organisms that disconcert and engross with equal measure.
Utilising his own crude, handmade instrumentation to full effect, ‘Punish, Honey’ sees Vessel firmly digging heels further into his own brutally rewarding corner of noise.
