...a big and ambitious pop song

Everyone’s favourite band from Sunderland return with a new single from their forthcoming third album.

A sign that even on the third wave some guitar hooks retain their awesome power, The Beginning Of The Twist sounds so much like late 70’s new wave outfit Wire, early 90’s brazen blaggers Elastica should consider suing. Influences aside this is another cracking effort from The Futureheads. Fast paced, slickly produced and smartly delivered, it is a big and ambitious pop song propelled along by Barry Hyde’s compulsive vocals and those post-punk references. The only thing it lacks is an original twist.
