Co-Operative Music
Stalwarts of the electro pop scene The Faint return with a new single from their fifth album, Fasciination.
With sharp riffs and a buzzing bass putting the foot to the floor, the half-spoken, slightly snotty robotic vocals (think Blink 182 but way better) keeps pace with the rhythm, driving the song through the verse at top speed. But then it stalls through a couple of frustrating breakdowns and while there’s some more smooth cruising in between, it never feels like it is going anywhere. Sure journeys can be enjoyed on their own terms but sometimes having a destination can help.

Indeed the Geeks where right
Indeed the Geeks where right but whoever shot this video for the single was very, VERY wrong. I just saw it on youtube, it looks like a cross between Tron and live footage of a Malaga turnip harvest, how much did the video cost to shoot, $85? However the distorted guitar riff sounds great and really drives this song, but melodically it's a one trick pony.
