Just six months ago The Cribs released possibly their best album yet, ‘In The Belly Of The Brazen Bull’, but this singles, B-sides and rarities compilation is a reminder that the Jarman brothers have been churning out some astonishingly pop-rock for almost a decade. From old favourites like ‘Mens Needs’ and ‘Hey Scenesters’, to tracks like ‘On A Hotel Wall’ (incredulously only deemed worthy of B-side status), all stages of their development are documented. And what a journey: from the piss and beerstained student dives where they first found adoration to working with Johnny Marr. All from a band whose guns are still blazing.
