Robyn - Handle Me

There’s something questionable about the sudden emergence of Robyn as pop music’s current Lady of Cool.

Breakthrough single Konichiwa Bitches seemed contrived out of year old cast-offs from Gwen Stefani’s recording sessions, before her no. 1 ballad With Every Heartbeat exposed her as the tattered corpse of Roxette dragged from their much-dance upon grave and reanimated in front of a world too bored to notice. New single Handle Me tries to combine both styles with a crunchy minimal beat and torturous ghetto speak acting as a front for its bland soft rock chorus. Like Jonathan Aitken’s daughter rapping but less amusing.
