Pascal Pinon – Twosomeness

A rare and beautiful treat

Sometimes melodies, moods and moments in the day coalesce to prompt an emotional response you didn't know was coming. Rejig the combination and that feeling is lost, but let ‘Twosomeness’ wash over you when staring out at glacial mornings, sun  filtering through a delicately  beautiful fog and all will be well with the world. The gorgeous voices of twin sisters Jófríður and Ásthildur weave in and out of scratchy, minimalist folktronica. The sound of clunking tape machines between tracks and the gentle background hum create a captivatingly claustrophobic atmosphere, especially on the gorgeous ‘Evgeny Kissin’, with its choral backing vocals. A rare and beautiful treat.
