ladytron

Silky, shimmering electro-pop from silky, shimmering Liverpudlians.

The ever-stylish Ladytron return with a single that oozes class, as pop-tastic ideas are squeezed into three minutes in the same way Marilyn Monroe would squeeze herself into a diamond-studded dress.

The band's art-rock beginnings were honed into pop heaven on third album "Witching Hour", with heavy touring bringing them deserved critical recognition and a devoted cult following.

Taken from recent (fourth!) album “Velificero”, the track is built on motorik rhythms that resemble a female fronted Kraftwerk. The woman-machines purr their way through a track that isn’t so much Human League as premiere league. Sure, it borders on the repetitive, but when an idea’s this good then why change it.
