Kylie Minogue - Two Hearts

Amongst all the highly-rated bands that released singles this week, only one song had that meaty injection of sex and swagger that makes the best rock’n’roll.

That it came from the princess of pop Kylie is something of a shock, though a considered look at her back catalogue suggests it’s probably about time we stopped being so surprised. Two Hearts struts around a simple beat and thrusting piano riff, while Kylie purrs about love and lust like a kitten sleeping in a Ferrari engine. If this was Karen O it would be Single of the Week. Let’s not be pop snobs.
