Frightened Rabbits - Be Less Rude / The Greys artwork

The debut AA single from this Glasgow-based three-piece, features the line “your high horse is in fact a pony”, but A-side Be Less Rude overcomes this with a song that discreetly drifts through several sub-genres of mid 90’s rock.

Noisy drums, guitars and anguished vocals are dashed with sweet melodies suggesting a beautiful potential like a couple getting along if only “you could be less rude”. On the other side sub-three minute song The Greys is a slow starter but quickly builds to quite an exhilarating climax. If Snow Patrol sounded like this you’d love them.
