Simply superb
Edward Sharpe And The Magnetic Zeroes - Here

Alex Ebert and co.’s sophomore effort just sounds like its always belonged in your dad’s vinyl crate - this is a good thing. Full of gorgeous melodies that bring the heart-warming Californian sun to the ears, ‘Here’ manages to perfectly capture the group’s communal, jammy vibe well, simultaneously sounding as masterminded as a Spector single. ‘That’s What’s Up’ sees Ebert and vocalist Jade Castrinos rejoicing in the love of your best friend while ‘Dear Believer’ will melt even the most neurotic soul. A true progression without losing any of the magic that made their first album such a breath of fresh air. Simply superb.
