An album of restless and troubling beauty
Dreamend - So I Ate Myself, Bite By Bite

Ditching the electronics of his main band Black Moth Super Rainbow, Ryan Graveface has produced something of a masterclass in modern Americana. From the vast and sparse opener ‘Pink Cloud In The Woods’ to the overdriven banjo twangs that drive ‘Interlude’, this is a record that marries invention to fidelity and even reveals a dark heart, lyrically but also in the harrowing coda of ‘An Admission’. Graveface’s high pitches can occasionally grate, but never enough to destroy an album of restless and troubling beauty.
