It’s festival season again which can only mean the return of CSS, the Brazilian group who like playing gigs in fields so much there’s a decent chance they’d turn up to your next barbecue if you ask them.
This lead single from Donkey, the follow up to their debut album, retains their neat electro hooks, cool guitar riffs and Lovefoxx’s breathy, sexy voice. But now there is a more mainstream, chart-friendly production that has a Nordic pop feel – like Robyn but good. It’s hardly groundbreaking but it will be stuck in your head as you zip that tent closed.
