Chuck Inglish – Convertibles

A great feel-good record for the summer months...

Chuck Inglish doesn’t want us to review his album. He just wants you to listen to it and make your own decision.

“We don’t let music be good anymore,” Chuck recently told Clash – read the interview here. And that’s exactly what ‘Convertibles’ is: good music.

You won’t find the meaning of life in these songs, and some might be considered shallow, but these are songs to be enjoyed nevertheless. Throw them on at a house party and enjoy the variety of vibes, snapshotting some of music’s biggest rising stars – including Action Bronson and Chance The Rapper – as tastemaker Inglish captured them right before they blew.

A great feel-good record for the summer months, this one is the perfect soundtrack for the car, park or beach. Just enjoy it.

7/10
