Older, wiser, still rocking: Mould’s as electric as ever...
Bob Mould - Beauty & Ruin

Alt-rock veteran Bob Mould, he of Hüsker Dü and Sugar fame, knows his way around album making – more so than scriptwriting for professional wrestling, anyway.

2010’s ‘Silver Age’ marked something of a return to form for the New Yorker’s solo catalogue, and 11th studio set ‘Beauty & Ruin’ continues the man’s resurgence.

This is indie-rock par excellence, full of songs that sweat accomplishment without conveying experience in an old-man-talking-now manner.

‘I Don’t Know You Anymore’ is top-down highway music for summer months, while ‘Hey Mr. Grey’ is a frantic workout defying its maker’s 53 years.

Older, wiser, still rocking: Mould’s sounding as electric as ever.
