In the pubIn the pubRadio sessionThe setting for Belladrum Festival is possibly the most scenic and well designed. This man was found cycling his piano round the festival. The look on his face fluctuated between absolute frustration and pure pleasure. On stage!Carpet bowlsUrby realises that the man who sold him the X-ray glasses was a liar. Still on stage! You can learn a lot about a man from his shoes.Doug’s Adam’s apple confirmed Urby’s suspicions that he is in fact a man. Urby now likes to warm up his fingers and mind before playing a show while listening to a rather lengthy narrative on the histoy of Motown. I wish this was a lie. Amongst Belladrum’s many and magnificent attractions was this one curious example. A slightly fat horse.Urby and Doug enjoy a relaxed moment at Belladrum. Doug and Urby warming up. There is literally nothing to say about this photo.

Having previously delighted our ears with their luscious folky strains, Noah And The Whale have recently completed their visual treat in the form of their new film, The First Days Of Spring.

Directed by the band’s Charlie Fink, The First Days Of Spring is an intriguing and haunting journey, and was being shown as the band toured the late summer festivals, while on stage they performed tracks from the film’s accompanying soundtrack.

Charlie accepted Clash’s offer to document a leg of their UK tour, and took his camera to Belladrum Festival, in the heart of the Scottish Highlands, for some suitably distinctive images.
