Yeah Yeah Yeahs UK Tour

Brooklyn group in British blitz

Brooklyn trio Yeah Yeah Yeahs are set to hit the UK, with a series of tour dates planned for November and December.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs are a sizzling live act. With Karen O's iconic yelp and her demonic stage presence the band have a visual counterpoint to their always stunning music.

After a three year wait, the band returned earlier this year with their third album. Yeah Yeah Yeahs' last full length release 'Show Your Bones' came in 2006, with only an EP to tide fans over since then.

The Brooklyn trio entered the studio last year, and were keen to shake things up. Always aware of the needs of the dancefloor, the band largely ditched their jittering guitar lines for a series of analogue synths.

With Dave Sitek at the controls, Yeah Yeah Yeahs returned with a powerful punch. 'It's Blitz' was undoubtedly a different album than fans are used to, yet the band have progressed without losing their core sound.

On singles such as 'Off With Their Heads' Karen O is on spectacular form, biting lyrics delivered with her trademark panache. Announcing a series of live dates alongside festival appearances, Yeah Yeah Yeahs are set to dominate the live scene.

The band recently played their first ever Glastonbury set, and are set to follow this with a performance at T In The Park. Scotland's biggest music festival, workers are already onsite to prepare for another year of mayhem.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs are due to play a massive UK tour across November and December. With stints at Oxegen as well as Reading and Leeds to complete, the band are due to be on typically razor sharp form.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs have confirmed the following dates:

November
29 Leeds O2 Academy
30 London O2 Brixton Academy

December
1 London O2 Brixton Academy
3 Newcastle Brixton Academy
4 Glasgow O2 Academy
6 Manchester O2 Academy
