Yeah Yeah Yeahs Album Title

New York's scuzzed up trio Yeah Yeah Yeahs have announced the title of their forthcoming third album.

Led by style icon Karen O, Yeah Yeah Yeahs burned a glitter trail through the indie scene with their high energy new wave anthems. One of a wave of bands whose decided to do without a bass player, the group's first album 'Fever To Tell' inspired a generation of female fronted band's with an eye for fashion.

Apart from the 'Is Is' EP the group have been inactive since 2006's 'Show Your Bones' but have been working on new material recently. Yeah Yeah Yeahs released a special version of 'All I Want For Christmas' over the festive period, but as yet little has been heard of the new album.

In a new posting on their website the band revealed that their third album will be called 'It's Blitz'. The group said:

"WHATCHAMACALLIT!!!!

Hey everybody! Just so everyone's on the same page we want you all to know that we are releasing a BRAND NEW record this spring and drum roll please...we'll let Geronimo the raccoon and the baby chicks take it away from here...love YYYs"
