Wiley travelled to Cumbria at the weekend for another festival engagement - and another hilarious Twitter episode.
Wiley's Twitter is the gift that keeps on giving. Aside from free music and exclusive announcements, the grime legend's social media feed is an insight into one of British music's most unique characters.
Recently booked to play CockRock festival in Cumbria (no, we'd never heard of it either) the show didn't go well. In the run up to the event, Wiley repeated much of the concerns which dogged his ill-fated trip to Glastonbury.
Pleading with his management, the rapper said: "(P)lease stop sending me to farms to peform [sic] please mate …I am a yardie man ffs wtf." (via FACT)
Eventually taking to the stage, Wiley cut short his performance after only 15 minutes. Jeered by fans, the grime MC then went straight onto Twitter to brag about his achievements:
Today we start the spending of 15 k in style ...Fuck them pagans in Cumbria ..— Wiley (@WileyUpdates) July 22, 2013
You think I would drive 7 hours and perform for 15 mins while dodging a few bottles and coins to give them back money ......Are u mad lol...— Wiley (@WileyUpdates) July 22, 2013
No money ain't going to any charity @CockRock just so we got that clear .— Wiley (@WileyUpdates) July 22, 2013
