The Whip and more added

Cumbrian mavericks Wild Beasts are the latest acts to be added to the line up for Snowbombing.

If the past few weeks haven't whetted the appetites of the British public for snow then nothing will. Covering the landscape in white the cold snap has re-introduced winter sports to the country's lifestyle.

With the festival season opening soon a host of events could tempt music fans abroad. Snowbombing in Austria is one of the best of a new breed of festivals to blend music with snowsports.

Taking place in a small village in the alps, Snowbombing is rapidly emerging as one of Europe's top winter sports and music events. This year organisers have confirmed a number of major acts with Fatboy Slim due to play a special set.

Epic British indie stars Editors are also set to perform, with the likes of Doves, Friendly Fires and more set to hit the slopes.

New additions from Snowbombing organisers include Cumbrian mavericks Wild Beasts. With their falsetto vocals and bizarre lyrics the band's new album 'Two Dancers' is a genuine love it or loathe it phenomenon.

Attracting just as many vehement defenders as critics, Wild Beasts are due to take their very special live show to Austria later this year. Joining the band on the slopes will be Manchester dance rock act The Whip while Example will also be making a guest appearance.

The ideal combination of landscape and line up, Snowbombing allows fans to mix boards with beats.

Snowbombing is set to take place between April 5th - 10th.
