Wichita / Moshi Party

Twin titans of British independent music Wichita Records and Moshi Moshi Records are set to hold a fantastic Christmas party in Hoxton Bar & Kitchen, London on December 16th, it has been announced.

The two labels represent a new wave of British labels that are set to take on the world. Moshi Moshi released the first album by Hot Chip, while Wichita currently claim such giants as Bloc Party and Simian Mobile Disco on their roster.

The labels have a close relationship, with both recently celebrating anniversaries. Bloc Party, of course, released a single for Moshi Moshi before signing for Wichita, while the two label's bands have frequently shared bills.

The line up for the event is being kept under wraps but we do know that four bands will appear - two from Wichita and two from Moshi Moshi. With the potential acts on show here, this should be the Christmas party to end all Christmas parties.
