White Lies For New Year Bash

The Rifles also set to appear

British gloom rockers White Lies are to see in the New Year with a DJ slot at a top London venue.

So 2009 is almost over. Opening with unprecedented economic turmoil, the year has been dominated by bankers, bizarre weather and the emergence of White Lies.

Releasing a handful of singles towards the end of 2008 White Lies opened the year with their titanic single 'Death'. A sign of the nation's mood at the time, the glacial rock went storming up the charts.

After this the band released their debut album 'To Lose Your Life' which rocketed to number one. One of the year's most significant releases, White Lies became one of 2009's most important newcomers.

Word of mouth has continued to spread about the band, with White Lies playing to larger and larger venues. The band seem to have a close bond with their fans, as shows frequently become mass singalongs.

White Lies are set to see out their breakthrough year with a DJ set in London. The band are set to appear at Relentless Garage, alongside a raft of talent.

Due to spin some discs, White Lies are to be joined by The Rifles. The London based Mod poppers are also set to DJ, with the indie group due to appear alongside radio personality James Theaker.

Organised by promoters This Feeling and Bangers & Mash the bill also features Buster Shuffle, Dexter's DT's, Faithful Child and Qyaintways.

White Lies are set to appear at the following show:

31 London Relentless Garage
