Weezer Not Recording
Band Plan To Tour New Material
Acerbic US grunge pop group Weezer have stated in a new interview that rumors they are to head back into the studio to record new material are wrong.
The band released their 'Red Album' earlier this year, the third time in their career that they have released a self-titled album - identifiable only by the color of the sleeve. Rumors had circulated that Weezer were to plunge back into the studio, but in a new interview guitarist Brian Bell explains that the band have other plans.
"Someone jumped the gun," he explains. "We're still going to focus on promoting the 'Red' album, and when we have the songs and the time feels right, we'll record."
Bell added that the dynamic "within the band has shifted towards being more collaborative, and a safer place for people to bring ideas to and actually be heard."
Weezer recently broke all kinds of records with their fun filled video for new single 'Troublemaker' and are currently touring their most recent album. Bell states that "it would be kind of silly to put a timeline on a record that we felt wasn't ready".
Brian Bell is however, gearing up to release an album by his side project The Relationship.
