We Are Scientists Comeback Single
New single confirmed
Indie pop jokers We Are Scientists are to release their eagerly anticipated new single 'Rules' on April 5th.
We Are Scientists merge anthemic indie rock songcraft with some hilarious stunts. Breakthrough album 'With Love And Squalor' was a huge success, spawning several indie dancefloor favourites.
Returning with 'Brain Thrust Mastery' in 2008, We Are Scientists cemented their position as the jokers of indie pop. The New York based trio are famed for their videos, and even went backstage at an award show to interview other nominees.
Taking time off to write new material, We Are Scientists have now confirmed details of a new single. Named 'Rules' the track is to be released on April 5th and is taken from forthcoming album 'Barbara'.
The new album is centred on the creative pairing of Keith Murray and Chris Cain, but the duo have recruited a familiar face. One time Razorlight drummer Andy Burrows is set to appear on the album, his first material since leaving the London indie giants.
"We wanted a drummer who we would get along with and who would bring a good energy to the recording," Cain told the NME. Other songs set to be included on 'Barbara' are 'I Don't Bite' and 'Foreign Kicks'.
The new album is set to be followed with a special one off show in London. We Are Scientists are to play a show at London's Hoxton Bar And Grill on February 23rd, with all tickets for the show sold out.
