Wave Pictures Album Plans
Moshi Moshi group return
Never ones to rest on their laurels The Wave Pictures are due to release their second album under a year after their first record charmed the nation.
Formed in the North of England, the group bubbled under for years seemingly stockpiling great songs for their eventual stardom. After signing to Moshi Moshi the band released celebrated debut album 'Instant Coffee Baby' last year.
Containing some wonderfully wide eyed and innocent songwriting, the album recalled Jonathan Richman and early rock 'n' roll stars without ever feeling derivative.
Now The Wave Pictures are due to release their second album 'If You Leave It Alone'. Frontman Dave Tattersal said in a statement that "one of the reasons I like this album so much is that it wasn't hard work at all. I'm not sure that there is a single instance in the whole of my life where I can say that I benefited from hard work."
"But I can think of lots of examples where taking it easy was the right way to go, and this album would be one of those."
The Wave Pictures are set to release their new album 'If You Leave It Alone' on April 13th.
