Peter Jackson directed adaptation

The trailer for Peter Jackson's 'The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey' has emerged online giving a glimpse of the 'Lord Of The Rings' director's vision for this two part adaption of J.R.R. Tolkien's book.

Set to be released on 14th December 2012, the film stars Martin Freeman with Ian McKellen and Andy Serkis returning to reprise their roles as Gandalf and Gollum respectively. Set before the events of the hugely popular 'Lord Of The Rings' books and Jackson directed trilogy of films, 'The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey' sees Bilbo Baggins caught up in a quest with a band of dwarves to battle a dragon and save the kingdom.
