Watch: Peter Serafinowicz Sings Morrissey

'Autobiography' gets re-worked...

Comedian Peter Serafinowicz has posted a hilarious video of himself singing the first page from Morrissey's autobiography.

It's here. FINALLY. Morrissey's 'Autobiography' has taken years to complete, with a last minute dis-agreement between author and publisher threatening to keep the book from our shelves.

Thankfully, the row was smoothed over and 'Autobiography' was published earlier this week. Early reviews have been positive, but Morrissey's distinctive writing style – steeped in the wit and poeticism which drives his lyrics – has led to murmurs of pastiche.

Never one to shy away from a good spoof, Peter Serafinowicz elected to record himself singing the first page of 'Autobiography'.

Choosing the backing track from 'William, It Was Really Nothing' Serafinowicz croons in a faux Morrissey style, his chin jutting out in an evocation of the Smiths legend.

It's pretty funny, we must say. No doubt recorded by someone with a little too much time on his hands, if you fancy seeing what all the fuss is about then you can check out the video below.
