A vivid yet reclusive performer, Nick Cave recently agreed to contribute to a partially fictionalised, partially factual account of his 20,000th day on Earth.
The film - appropriately titled '20,000 Days On Earth' - follows Nick Cave as he hangs out with Kylie Minogue and Ray Winstone, watches 'Scarface' with his children and sits down for a meal with Warren Ellis.
Directed by Iain Forsyth and Jane Pollard, the pseudo-documentary feel is achieved by largely avoiding any scripted moments.
A full trailer for the film went online during the night, and it's a stylishly shot introduction to a truly unique project.

'20,000 Days On Earth' will launch with a special event at London's Barbican venue on September 17th, during which the film will be broadcast to 150 cinemas. Busy that evening? Don't worry, the film gains a general UK release on September 19th.
