Watch: Landshapes – Insomniacs Club

New tour dates confirmed...

Landshapes have shared the video for 'Insomniacs Club' ahead of their upcoming tour.

A band's debut album can come to define them. However for Landshapes, it seems that their debut full length could well act as a launching pad, a place of beginnings.

'Rambutan' is an odd, beguiling beast, one which flips harmonies against one another and chops up standard songwriting tropes into curious, striking new elements.

Out now via Bella Union, 'Rambutan' is set to be followed by a short British tour. Ahead of this, though, Landshapes have decided to share the clip for 'Insomniacs Club' with Clash readers.

Here's an introduction from the band…

"We watched the short horror film '1/4 Inch', and thought it went incredibly well with the song, synching almost perfectly even before Ian took it in for a re-edit. We had wanted to have a video that fitted with the jittery pace of 'Insomaniacs Club', and also something haunting that would render the watcher unable to sleep too … this gruesome nightmare that follows a girl who collects sounds is perfect, the re-edit condensing the story and following the change in atmosphere through the song prefectly, they were made for each other!"

Landshapes have confirmed the following shows:

October
7 Brighton Green Door Store
8 Birmingham Hare & Hound
9 London Lexington
10 Bristol Louisiana
11 Nottingham Bodega
12 Manchester Deaf Institute
13 Newcastle The Cluny
