Watch: Kindness - Gee Up

Exploding narratives...

Fast rising newcomers Kindness have unveiled an intriguing new video for their track 'Gee Up'.

Led by Adam Bainbridge, Kindness are almost impossible to classify. Based in London, the band recorded their debut album in Paris with Phillipe Zdar at the controls.

Awkward funk. Not quite electro pop. Kindness don't fit easily into any genre, with their debut album ‘World, You Need A Change Of Mind’ set to raise more questions on its release next month.

Due out on March 19th, the band have dropped a little preview online. 'Gee Up' is an otherworldly piece of avant disco, reminiscent of Arthur Russell during one of his more linear moods.

The track comes accompanied by curious video. 'Gee Up' opens with Kindness performing on what looks to be local access television (think Wayne's World style aesthetics and you'd be close).

However the early 90s hipster facade is quickly blown off, with Kindness picking apart the label routine. Watch 'Gee Up' below...
