Watch: Damon Albarn Says He Was ‘Terrified’ Of Tony Blair

Blur singer talks politics...

Blur's Damon Albarn has spoken to Channel 4, with the interview focussing on his political beliefs.

Revealing that he voted for Labour at the recent General Election, the singer admitted that he didn't vote for Tony Blair in 1997's history making landslide.

"I met Tony Blair and had a sort of premature insight into the dark mechanics of politics and at that point I honestly felt terrified about Tony Blair,” he said. "I picked up on something kind of odd about him that I didn't understand. I was a bit scared of him, if I'm honest with you."

Elsewhere, Damon Albarn reflected on Russell Brand's recent dalliance with politics. "I'm not going to be a Russell Brand hater because I think his heart is in the right place. I think sometimes his methodology is a little naive"

The singer also labelled Britain "an interesting multicultural experiment" that needs to "nurture" its diversity.
