Joyous, math-inflected guitar pop

Coastal Cities have handed the video for their new single 'Relief' to ClashMusic - watch it below.

A five piece from Bucks, Coastal Cities are almost frighteningly young. A band who would have trouble escaping from their local off license with anything more than a packet of chewing gum, the group have been able to focus on more musical activities.

Taking inspiration from the scratchier, funkier side of post-punk (think 23 Skidoo, The Pop Group) the band also have an awkward, math rock inflect edge.

New single 'Relief' is a case in point. Pushing ahead and falling apart, the track's jagged guitar lines hook into you and don't let go.
