Bruce Springsteen is almost the living, breathing embodiment of New Jersey.
Born and raised in the state, Springsteen's material rarely ventures from its locale. So when governor Chris Christie became embroiled in a traffic jam scandal - one which eventually led to his resignation - you could be sure that The Boss was watching developments at each and every step.
Appearing on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon last night (January 15th) the songwriter finally broke his silence. Performing a section which mocked Christie and the circumstances of the scandal, Bruce Springsteen also threw in a few self-deprecating remarks for good measure.
Later sitting down with the host, Springsteen mused on the scandal and what it had meant for the people of New Jersey. What a hero, eh?
