Arcade Fire are streaming their Spike Jonze directed new short film 'Scenes From The Suburbs'.

Working on their third album, Arcade Fire decided to look back. 'The Suburbs' was informed by the group's experiences of adolescence, with the sprawling album released last year to widespread acclaim.

Containing some stunning set pieces, 'The Suburbs' was followed by a lengthy tour. Given their previous film work, it then came as no surprise to learn that a short film inspired by the album was planned.

Director Spike Jonze was set to helm the project, with Arcade Fire helping throughout the production. Given a premiere earlier this year, the film uses a cast largely drawn from untrained actors.

A raw, very natural film the production is set to be released as part of an expanded version of 'The Suburbs'. Due to become available later this year, you can stream the film online now thanks to Mubi.

Taking place on June 30th, the show includes support slots from Beirut and more. Part of their summer tour, Arcade Fire will mix festival shows with headline concerts in Manchester and Edinburgh.
