Tripped out video released

Animal Collective have completed the vivid, psychedelic new video for album track 'Bluish'.

Animal Collective make deeply psychedelic music. The band's output seems to benefit from heightened emotional awareness, with their trippy samples including a dip into the back catalogue of The Grateful Dead.

The American group completed their new 'visual album' 'ODDSAC' earlier this year. Given a handful of screenings across the UK, it's bizarre cinematics embodied the link between their music and visuals.

Now the band have completed a new video for their recent track 'Bluish'. Taken from their celebrated album 'Merriweather Post Pavilion' the song is a typically bewildering, head swirling display.

Animal Collective have crafted an equally tripped video to go along with 'Bluish'. The sixth video to be associated with 'Merriweather Post Pavillion' further projects have yet to be confirmed by the American group.

Meanwhile, the Maryland group are indulging in a few solo projects. Avey Tare has confirmed his new crocodile themed album, set to be released later this year. Planning to play a handful of live shows, no British dates have been confirmed as yet.

Elsewhere, collaborator du jour Panda Bear is planning to release his latest album 'Tomboy'. Releasing several singles through different labels, the songwriter is ready to follow up 2007's 'Person Pitch' project.
