Warp20 London Show Update

Legendary electronic label Warp have confirmed the full line up for their upcoming anniversary show in London.

Each generation seems to have a label whose sheer iconoclastic fury throws off the shackles of expectations and leads the way in musical innovation. For the past twenty years this role was filled by Warp Records.

Founded in Sheffield at a time when dance music was made by Americans in far flung cities such as Chicago and Detroit, Warp's commitment to left field British talent allowed some true geniuses to emerge.

Releasing records by the likes of The Aphex Twin, Squarepusher, Autechre, Nightmares On Wax and more the label was responsible for a flood of now iconic albums.

Still going strong Warp Records have celebrated their 20th anniversary with a series of shows around the world. Demonstrating both the enduring quality of those early releases and the label's current vitality, a series of collections have told the Warp story through the music.

Now Warp is set to see out the year with a very special show in London. Due to take place on December 5th Warp20 has already confirmed the likes of Broadcast, Flying Lotus, Rustie and more.

Taking place in London's The Coronet venue Warp20 will boast performances from label mainstays and newcomers. Hailing from Glasgow Rustie is a new signing to the imprint, joining fellow LuckyMe Collective member Hudson Mohawke.

Other new additions include DJ sets from Jackson, Mira Calix, Strictly Kev of DJ Food fame and more. Ticket holders on the night will receive a new album showcasing some of the best artists who are set to emerge from Warp in 2010.

With a host of new WarpFilm events due on the horizon, the legendary label has written another page for itself in the history books.
