Vivian Girls Confirm UK Tour

Brooklyn group hit the road

Brooklyn trio Vivien Girls are set to return to the UK after confirming a series of tour dates.

While the doubters claim that Brooklyn's era of producing stunning music is over, the New York borough continues to surprise and delight with a series of new groups.

Sure, the real estate companies may have moved in pushing house prices up but it seems that the artistic community is clinging on. This year alone Crystal Stilts, Pains Of Being Pure At Heart and more have released stunning records.

However perhaps the most impressive new acts to come from Brooklyn in recent times are Vivien Girls. An all girl trio, the band's fuzzed up take on indie pop has made them critical darlings.

The band's self-titled debut album dropped last year, with Vivien Girls heading straight back into the studio almost immediately. Quickfire follow up 'Everything Goes Wrong' emerged just over a year later, and showed a stunning appetite to progress musically.

Now Vivien Girls have confirmed details of their new UK tour. The band are set to return to Britain in January, playing in support of their recently released - and rather pessimistically titled - album 'Everything Goes Wrong'.

Opening with a show in Oxford the band will travel across the country before ending the short tour with a show in Southampton.

Vivien Girls have confirmed the following dates:

January
15 Oxford Jericho Tavern
16 Birmingham O2 Academy 3
17 Manchester The Deaf Institute
22 Leeds Brudenell Social Club
24 Southampton Joiners
