Velvet Revolver Search For Vocalist

Rock gods could return

Rock gods Velvet Revolver are currently searching for a vocalist, and could be set for a quicker return than even they had anticipated.

Formed by ex-members of Guns N Roses, the band's previous vocalist Scott Weiland departed last April in acrimonious circumstances with both parties refusing to take any blame.

Since then Velvet Revolver have held auditions for a replacement singer, but have yet to enrol a permanent member. Bassist Duff McKagan told Pulse Of Radio that they are hopeful of finding someone soon, however.

"In the last, I would say, about eight weeks, we got three guys in that were all really good - like, far and above, more fitting than the rest," he said.

"So I can say this much: we're headed in a very positive direction, and you might be hearing something soon."

In other Duff news, the musician recently told Seattle Weekly that he used to wear women's underwear during his Guns N Roses days. "My Seattle Seahawks (Sea Gals) cheerleader lingerie had usually been my 'go to' undergarment to make myself feel good and surprise a lucky girl if the night went that far," he said.
