New York indie group Vampire Weekend have earned critical praise for their "Upper West Side Soweto" mixture of rock and world music, and now UK audiences will get a chance to see what all the fuss is about.
The group release their debut, self-titled, LP today, its fusion of sunny pop and African music the perfect tonic for these winter days. A terrific live band, the group have announced a series of UK dates - though they will presumably be avoiding direct sunlight in the process.
Vampire Weekend play the following dates:
February 21st - London, ULU
February 22nd - Wolverhampton Civic
February 23rd - Oxford Academy
February 24th - Brighton Audio
