V Festival Weather Report

Sun set to shine...

The latest weather reports are in and it appears to be a heatwave for this summer's instalment of V Festival.

Although it is lambasted by some of the most commercial major event on the festival calendar, V is nonetheless a massive attraction. Well run and with an eclectic bill, tens of thousands of music fans gather for one of the year's biggest parties.

Spread over two sites in Chelmsford and Stafford the event is bigger than ever. This year's headliners include The Killers with a host of other top acts set to play.

However the big concern amongst festival fans making their way to the twin sites is the weather. Will it rain or shine?

Well, according to weather service Metcheck the Chelmsford site is due to be dry all day on Saturday (August 22nd) with temperatures peaking at around 22 degrees celsius. In another encouraging sign, the BBC service is predicting the same conditions.

On Sunday (August 23rd) the Chelmsford site should remain dry but will be slightly overcast, according to Metcheck. However it will also be slightly warmer, with temperatures reaching a sweltering 24 degrees Celsius.

Over in Stafford the good weather will continue on the Saturday (August 22nd) with both the BBC and Metcheck predicting sunny intervals. Temperatures should hover between 20 and 22 degrees celsius.

Bad news for Stafford ticket holders, though - the BBC predicts heavy rain for the site on Sunday (August 23rd). However Metcheck is predicting the event will stay dry - who will be right? Time will tell...

V Festival takes place between August 22nd - 23rd.
