Will it be rain or shine?

The latest weather reports from the V Festival sites are in - and it looks as if the event will remain sunny.

With the gates of V Festival opening tomorrow (August 19th) fans are already apprehensive about the weather. Up in Scotland, rain is falling outside the window of the ClashMusic office with a wet weekend in store.

However for fans heading to V Festival it looks to be a different story. Spread between sites in Chelmsford and Staffordshire the event appears to be heading for a dry, sunny weekend with high temperatures.

The latest reports from UK Weather are extremely positive. V Festival should enjoy highs of around 23 degrees Celsius, with overnight temperatures at both sites unlikely to dip below 12 degrees Celsius.

Neither site should experience rain, although Chelmsford could be overcast on the final day. Campers may want to pack up early on Monday (August 22nd) however with rain set to fall on both sites.

Meanwhile, the Met Office is predicting that rain will fall on the Chelmsford site tonight (August 18th). However gates don't open until tomorrow meaning that the festival should be dry for those arriving early.

Eminem is due to headline the twin site event, making his return to British soil. Elsewhere, Arctic Monkeys are set to perform following the release of their fourth album 'Suck It And See'.

Unveiling a number of new attractions, the organisers of V Festival have hooked up with Virgin Media to launch Our House. A two storey building, it features a chill out zone and DJ sets from Frankmusik, Ellie Goulding and our very own Clash Magazine team.

Expect news, reports, reviews and photo galleries from throughout the weekend!

V Festival runs between August 20th - 21st.
