Will it rain or shine?

Arguments continue to rage about the weather at this year's V Festival with gates beginning to open.
Spread across two sites, V Festival is one of the summer's biggest events. However the sheer size of the event makes it extremely difficult to predict how the weather will behave across the weekend.
Thousands of fans are already trekking towards the site, with the gates swinging open to allow early arrivals to gain entry. According to sources at V Festival, the weather is holding out with bright skies and few clouds.
However there are conflicting reports concerning the full weekend. Previously, forecasters had predicted a bright and dry weekend for both sites, with those reports now beginning to change towards something more unsettled.
Virtual Festivals are predicting that the Chelmsford site could suffer rain on Saturday (August 20th). Temperatures will remain quite high at around 23 degrees Celsius yet the site could get wet.
Elsewhere, the Met Office are predicting thundery conditions for the festival. A message from the service indicated that fans heading to the Weston Park site should pack their ponchos in case of rain.
"Outbreaks of heavy, thundery rain are likely, particularly during the afternoon and into the night. The public should be aware that local flooding is possible."
However the BBC Weather team are predicting dry, warm weather for both sites throughout the weekend. Well there's only one way to prove who's right...
The line up contains some special appearances with Eminem again touching down on British soil. The iconic rapper drew a record crowd during his performance at T In The Park, and the V Festival set will no doubt be a major attraction.
Elsewhere, Sheffield indie titans Arctic Monkeys are set to perform alongside sets from Plan B and many, many more.
V Festival runs between August 21st - 22nd.
