The UK Festival Awards returned last night (December 2nd) with Download, Latitude and more emerging victorious.
The festival season has rarely been more fertile. Music fans have a record breaking number of events to choose from, with cheap flights allowing access to a wider array of events than ever before.
The UK Festival Awards returned last night (December 2nd) honouring the events which have made the biggest impression across the past 12 months.
Download won 'Best Major Festival' while 'Best Headline Set' went to Arctic Monkeys at Glastonbury. 'Best New Festival' was won by We Are FSTVL, with the Upminster based weekender also scooping 'Best Dance Event'.
Elsewhere, Dot To Dot won 'Best Metropolitan Festival' with Camp Bestival emerging victorious in the 'Best Family Festival' category.
James Drury, Managing Director of UK Festival Awards commented: "In this, our 10th year, we had the most fiercely-fought competition for the awards. There were so many incredible festivals taking place this year that it’s not surprising that 575,000 votes were cast by fans from across the world." "Congratulations to all those which made it into the finalists – it’s no mean feat to make it into the top 10, considering over 340 festivals entered this year."
