Two Weeks to RockNess
The Prodigy, Orbital, The Flaming Lips, Basement Jaxx...
It's just two weeks until the RockNess festival with headliners including The Prodigy, Orbital, The Flaming Lips, Basement Jaxx and Placebo, and Clash is proud to again be hosting a stage at "The Most Beautiful Festival In the World".
Held at Dores, near Inverness in the Scottish Highlands, previous Clash Arena line-ups saw Daft Punk and The View magic up some classic festival memories and this year hopes to top even those with Orbital, Pete Tong, Crookers, Annie Mac and Dj Yoda amongst Saturday's line up with Sunday offering Placebo, Soulwax, Pendulum Djs and more.
Kicking off on Friday 12th June, the campsite opens at 10am with the Bestival partnered 'Nesstival' area open to campers from 1pm to help ease the festival go-ers into the three days of partying.
Besides the headliners, this year's festival also sees the Rizla Invisible Players return with Soul II Soul's Jazzie B, Jon Carter, Michachu, Super Furry Animals front man Gruff Rhys and DJ David Shrigley building upon last year's successes.
Stone Roses tribute act, The Complete Stone Roses, will also be in attendance delivering their Mani approved show while US alt.rockers Bear Hands, UK/Dutch duo Party Horse and Doncaster's The Wallbirds will be providing fresh sounds.
Rounding out the full RockNess experience, make sure to get your free hug from the team on the way in, be someone else for a day courtesy of the Dressing Up tent, dance the night away with Sub Club, Ed Banger and Soma Records' Djs in the Bollywood area and check out Scotland's new talent on the GoNORTH stage.
It doesn't have to be three days of slumming it either. As well as Carlsberg offering cold beer in exchange for your (unopened) warm tins of lager, Schuh will swap your muddy footwear for a shiny new pair of wellies should the weather take a turn for the worse. You can even start each day with a nice civilised shower in the new on-site facilities with the promise of a cup of tea while you wait!
If all that's got you excited, how about the opportunity of attending for free? Clash has tickets for RockNess up for grabs as part of our massive Festival Ticket giveaway. Visit the competition HERE to throw your hat in the ring.
