Twilight Sad Tour Release
Band Cover Joy Division And More
Epic Scottish indie rockers The Twilight Sad have announced details of a forthcoming limited edition release 'The Twilight Sad Killed My Parents And Hit The Road'.
Available during upcoming dates with equally Scottish, equally epic group Mogwai, the album is a collection of covers, live tracks and rarities from the Twilight Sad.
Amongst the gems available on the collection are live takes on early tracks 'That Summer, At Home I Had Become The Invisible Boy' and 'Cold Days From The Birdhouse'. Also present are covers of Joy Division, The Smiths and Yeah Yeah Yeahs alongside some new tracks.
The Scottish group released their debut album 'Fourteen Autumns & Fifteen Winters' last year to rapturous acclaim. A blend of Arcade Fire style orchestration and post rock derived noise, it was an astonishingly assured entrance for the Kilsyth based band. The Twilight Sad followed this with the release of mini album 'Here, It Never Snowed. Afterwards It Did' this year, confirming their status as one of Britain's most inventive bands.
Coming complete with a pastiche of Raymond Pettibon's artwork for Sonic Youth's 'Goo' album, the new collection looks well worth tracking down.
The Twilight Sad release 'The Twilight Sad Killed My Parents And His The Road' on October 27th. It is available on their tour with Mogwai. Tracklisting is as follows:
