Tricky Single Due
Trip hop hero is 'Puppy Boy'
Bristol trip hop legend Tricky is set to release his new single 'Puppy Boy' on February 23rd.
Emerging from The Wild Bunch soundsystem in the late 80s, Tricky formed part of the first wave of trip hop acts to escape the gravitational pull of Bristol. However, the artist has always remained true to his roots and paid tribute to the council estate that spawned him with last year's album 'Knowle West Boy'.
A typically dark and brooding epic, 'Knowle West Boy' was acclaimed by critics as Tricky's finest effort in some time. The Bristol artist will release his third single from the album soon, when 'Puppy Boy' hits the record shops on February 23rd. Buoyed by a cascading piano riff, 'Puppy Boy' features Leeds based vocalist Alex Mills.
Amongst the upcoming tour dates are shows at Glasgow's infamous club The Arches. A hot spot on the Scottish dance scene, The Arches date will certainly be memorable with crowds North of the Border famed for their enthusiasm.
