When still in her teens, Fabienne wrote to the New York offices of Atlantic. Besotted with vintage soul and hip hop, the aspiring singer wanted a chance - any chance - to work with the fabled imprint.
It worked. Flying out to New York, the Bradford native filled her nights by playing open mics and coffee shops, building her material as she went.
Returning to London, Fabienne is polishing off work on her new EP. With her magpie eye for new sounds, new influences the artist is able to match a modern, current feel to timeless songwriting.
Due on March 24th, the four track EP is a nimble showcase for her abilities. Ahead of this, though, Clash is able to bring you a new teaser...
